Hi, I’m Melissa!

I’m a product design lead with more than 20 years of experience in B2B SaaS, at companies ranging from early-stage startups to enterprise.

I bring a strategic, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to design and research. I particularly enjoy gnarly, systemic problems — the kind where the real challenge is figuring out the right constraints, getting the right people aligned, and building something genuinely better within the limits of what’s actually buildable. I’m always looking for opportunities to raise the collective bar, within the design team and beyond it.

I believe in data-driven decisions while knowing that the right research method for a lean team under deadline looks different from the right method for a well-resourced one. I’ve worked remotely for a decade and have developed real tools and strategies for making distributed collaboration genuinely good.

I recently took a couple of years away to support my dad through his dementia journey. We now have the right supports in place, and I’m excited to get back to doing work I love.

When I’m not at my desk, you’ll find me hiking in the forest, watching birds, whipping up something in the kitchen, or snuggled up with a good book or the latest New Yorker.
